SUMMARY:World Immunisation Week 2025: Immunisation for All is Humanly Possible
DESCRIPTION:World Immunization Week\, celebrated in the last week of April\, brings together a diverse and broad coalition of partners to promote the use of vaccines to protect people of all ages against disease.\n\nTo ensure that the immunization successes of the past 50 years are built on in the next decades\, WHO\, UNICEF\, Gavi\, the Vaccine Alliance and other partners will continue the “Humanly Possible” campaign launched last year\, with a future forward look on the ensuring Immunization for All is Humanly Possible.\n\nAs 2025 is the mid-point in the Immunization Agenda 2030\, World Immunization Week will look at not only what immunization does to improve lives today but what immunization can achieve in the coming decades as more children are reached with essential immunizations and new vaccines are developed to protect against an even broader range of diseases across all ages.\n\n\nTo raise awareness that Immunization for All is Humanly Possible\, World Immunization Week 2025 aims to:\n\n\n\nDemonstrate it is humanly possible to have less disease and more life\, if people – and their communities – protect themselves and their loved ones from vaccine-preventable diseases through immunization.\nEncourage governments to turn vaccines into vaccinations through strong immunization programmes at local and national levels to deliver on the promise of immunization for all.\n\n\n\nHow to Get Involved\nThere are many ways to participate in World Immunisation Week: \n\nGet Vaccinated: Ensure that you and your family are up to date with all recommended vaccines. Encourage others to do the same and discuss the importance of vaccination with your community.\nSpread Awareness: Use social media\, blogs\, or community events to share information about the benefits of vaccination and to counteract misinformation. Highlight the success stories of vaccines in eliminating or controlling diseases.\nSupport Immunization Programs: Donate to organizations that provide vaccines to underserved populations or volunteer with groups that work to improve access to immunization services around the world.\nEngage with Health Campaigns: Participate in or organize events\, webinars\, or educational workshops that focus on immunization and public health. These can help raise awareness and encourage more people to get vaccinated.\nAdvocate for Policy Changes: Support policies and initiatives that promote universal access to vaccines\, including funding for immunization programs and efforts to ensure vaccine equity in all regions of the world.
